LIMA (Reuters) – Peru’s former President Alberto Fujimori was rushed from prison to a local hospital by ambulance late on Saturday after suffering a severe drop in blood pressure and abnormal heart rhythm that put him at risk of dying, Fujimori’s doctor said.

Sam Haskell’s resignation as executive chairman and chief executive of the Miss America Organization was accompanied by the departure of the organization’s president, the chairman of the board and a board member. Haskell had been suspended on Friday, one day after a Huffington Post report about the internal emails.

US plans to sell weapons to Ukraine could 'derail peace process', says RussiaRussian officials have warned that the US decision to supply weapons to Ukraine is dangerous and could encourage to use force in the easter portion of the country. The American State Department announced that it would begin supplying Ukraine with “enhanced defensive capabilities” as it battles with Russian-backed separatists in eastern Ukraine, prompting the Russian officials to say that the decision could “force” a conflict in the region. Franz Klintsevich, a member of the Russian parliament, said that the arms supplies would encourage Ukraine, and send a signal that the Americans support their efforts to fight against and potentially reclaim the east.

Israel frees three Turks arrested amid Jerusalem unrest

JERUSALEM (Reuters) – An Israeli court on Saturday freed without charge three Turks who had been arrested on suspicion of assaulting police outside a Jerusalem holy site contested by Jews and Muslims, a police spokesman said.
